Where it started
TVAC was built on a simple belief: you shouldn’t have to choose between building a business you enjoy running and living a life you love.
In 2015, Jonathan swapped the DJ decks for a desk — a small one, wedged into the corner of a tiny studio apartment in Plymouth — and started building something from scratch. But instead of spinning records, he was spinning plates — and too many of them. Like most first-time founders, he did everything himself — wearing every hat, working every hour, and slowly becoming the very thing holding his own business back.
Bethan’s path to the business looked a little different. She’d spent years working hard — really hard — in a demanding job that didn’t give much back. Long hours, little recognition, and a wage that didn’t reflect any of it. When she relocated, the commute that followed became the final straw. She went remote, she went out on her own — a little scared and unsure — but she figured it out, because she had to, and because she refused to go back.
A better way of working
When Bethan joined Jonathan, bringing her PA and property experience with her, everything shifted. What had been a one-man operation became a partnership. Tasks found their rightful home, capacity opened up, and the work that actually moved things forward got the attention it deserved.
They’d found what they’d been looking for: proof that when people work in a way that genuinely fits their life, everything gets better. The work, the output, the whole thing.
For a while, they were just two people who’d found a better way of working and were quietly, happily, getting on with it. They didn’t set out to build an agency. But then they became parents — and everything changed.
Because suddenly this wasn’t just about them anymore. It was about never missing the moments that matter. About being present for their growing family. About rejecting the idea that a career has to come at the cost of the life you actually want to live.
Something worth sharing
They’d found something that gave them time, freedom, and flexibility — and the burning, unshakeable feeling that there had to be more to life than the nine-to-five grind? They’d answered it. And it felt too good to keep to themselves.
Because this life they’d built — no soul-destroying commute, no missing bedtimes, no burning out for a boss who didn’t notice — was something worth protecting. And sharing.
So in 2019, they incorporated, rebranded, and began building a team — not to fill a gap in the market, but to share something that had genuinely, quietly, transformed their lives.
Because what they’d seen — on both sides — was this: business owners drowning in the day-to-day, too busy working in their business to ever work on it. And talented, capable people burning themselves out in jobs that didn’t value them, tied to a desk in a city they were spending half their wage commuting to.
Remote working solves both. It gives businesses access to brilliant people — not just the people who happen to live nearby. And it gives brilliant people the chance to build careers that fit around their lives, not the other way around.
Why we exist today

What started as a desk in a living room corner has grown into TVAC — a trusted business support partner to businesses and busy people across the UK and beyond. Building this business has transformed much more than just their careers. It’s transformed their lives.

The journey so far
The desk in the corner
It started, as many great things do, in a living room. Jonathan had traded the DJ decks for a laptop and a dream, and set up shop in the corner of a tiny studio apartment in Plymouth. One person, one desk, a lot of coffee, and a whole lot of spinning plates.
Two is better than one
Bethan joined the business — and what had been a solo operation became a partnership. Suddenly, things that had been falling through the cracks had someone to catch them. The business didn’t just double in capacity. It doubled in heart.
The plot twist that changed everything
They became parents. And just like that, all the reasons they’d been building this thing came sharply into focus. Flexibility wasn’t a nice-to-have anymore. It was the whole point.
Making it official
TVAC incorporated, rebranded, and began building a team. What had started as a scrappy one-man band was becoming something real, something structured, and something genuinely exciting.
Here we are
Today, TVAC supports businesses and busy people across the UK and beyond. The studio apartment is a distant memory. The belief that started it all? Still exactly the same.
