When to Escalate

When to Escalate

(updated 24 Nov 2025)

Escalate immediately if:

  • A client asks for more hours
  • A client requests something outside your skillset
  • You feel the client is unhappy
  • You are falling behind
  • There is a conflict or communication concern
  • Boundaries are being crossed
  • You foresee a delay

Escalation is a sign of professionalism — not failure.
